All about Victoria Blisse
Victoria Blisse is a Mother, Wife, Christian, Manchester United Fan and Award Winning Erotica Authoress. She is equally at home behind a laptop or a cooker and she loves to create stories, poems, cakes and biscuits that make people happy. She was born near Manchester, England and her northern English quirkiness shows through in all of her stories.Passion, love and laughter fill her works, just as they fill her busy life. How Victoria Blisse got into Erotic Romance?
I'm sure you've heard that I blame my husband for it. I've always been a bit of a writer. I concentrated on poetry as a teen with the odd awful pining romance based on my latest crush. But once, about 10 years ago I had a dream, a sexy dream and it just wouldn't leave me alone. So my hubby told me to write it down. He thought it was good and encouraged me to share it online. I did and the rest is, as they say, history. The Scoop!
Life is exciting right now. I've got a big book launch on the 18th November (which will have been and gone by the time you're reading this) and it will be my first visit to erotica in London too that same weekend.I'm working on editing up Book 3 of my Point Vamp series which, I know, has been a long time coming but hopefully soon you'll be able to sink your teeth into it.I'm also in the grips of NaNoWriMo in hopes of finishing off the Djinn's Amulet Book 2 which is tentatively titled 'Bollywood Nightmare' so I'm really enjoying getting back into Bollywood.Blissemas is taking up a good chunk of my time too.The 3rd - 22nd of December is Blissemas season. Each day a different erotic romance author will post a blog which will contain something fun, sexy and seasonal. All you have to do is leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning yourself a kindle! Comment every day to increase your chances in the main draw as well as becoming eligible to win one of several spot prizes that Victoria Blisse and her Blissemas elves...I mean authors will be handing out!Check out http://blissemas.co.uk for terms and conditions and a list of participating authors then be sure to comment, comment, comment and you could start the New Year with a bright, shiny kindle! What Victoria Blisse likes to read...
Oh, I love so many authors! Currently I am re-reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and I recently enjoyed reading Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris. I am also hoping that Santa might bring me the latest Pratchett for Christmas as I love a bit of Discworld madness.
INTERVIEWThe Sensible Questions:- 1.How have your life experiences affected your writing?
- I think most authors draw on their life experiences when they write. I know that my curvy heroines are inspired by myself as I want other women with abundant curves to feel sexy too. I glean personality traits from friends and family and even people I see on the streets. Everything I see or hear has the potential to end up in one of my books!
- 2.Which of your characters is your favourite, and why?
- This is so difficult to answer! I love all my characters, especially the ones I'm working on at the moment the question is asked. I am especially fond of Johnny the Djinn from Silver Screen Dream right now. He's such a fun character to write with lots of mystery surrounding him.
- 3.What heat level do you enjoy writing most, and why?
- I like to get pretty damn steamy really. I like my sexy to be integral to the plot, I think you really learn something about your characters when they're getting down and dirty. I do not use explicit language unless it feels needed though and anything kinky I do write tends to be on the milder side of things. I like to think I write hot and spicy without being too shocking!
- 4.What authors have influenced you most (not necessarily in the romance genre)?
- Gosh, this is hard to judge as I reckon every book you read influences your writing, either you change something in your writing to reflect what you read or you avoid it like the plague! Maybe my readers could tell me, can they see any resemblance in my work to that of other authors?
- 5.Which comes to you first when you write, the basic premise of the plot, or the characters?
- Usually it's the characters' or a character and maybe a scene that person is in. The story and other people then develop from that. It's not always the beginning of the story I get too, it can even be the ending sometimes.
- 6.What is the biggest lesson that you've learned since you began writing?
- Keep doing it! You just have to keep writing no matter what, force your way through the wall of writer's blog and just keep the stories coming. The more you write, the better you get and the more books are out there to capture the imagination of the readers.
- 7.Describe your writing space.
- I think you saw photos of my workspace last time I did a spotlight. I work on my little sofa, my laptop on my little lap table. Well, that's the place I do my typing and that isn't the be all and end all of writing a story.I've included photos for you of places that inspire me.Scarborough:My favourite place to go on holiday. The beauty of the sea, two beaches, cliffs, an old, old castle and all the essential accessories you expect of a British seaside town prov ide bucketloads of inspiration for me. Just read Sweet Surrender to see what I mean. The Park:Any kind of park but I find walking in the green between trees and flowers or reds and oranges in autumn or crunching through snow in winter sets my mind whirring. Artistic Sights, Heavenly Delights has a scene inspired by nature. I find I think clearer (and kinkier!) in beautiful open spaces. The Bus:Not driving means I sepnd a lot of time on public transport or waiting for public transport. I get some of my best ideas on the bus as I stare out of the window.

The Naughty Questions:
- How many toys do you have in your toy-box? (and we don't mean Barbie dolls!)
- Well, not great numbers to be truthful but then I can find fun in the most mundane items so I don't often feel the need to use an actual proper toy. I do have a lot of spatula's though...
- What or who does your ideal man look like?
- I am attracted to many different kinds of men but something that links them all is a good firm arse and soul-”searching eyes. I don't have many celebs that do it for me but here's a few I wouldn't mind erm, rubbing shoulders with...any maybe other parts too!

Are any of the sexy scenes in your books based on real life?Well of course, I've slept with several vampires, a Bollywood star and a werewolf...ha, seriously I've already stated that I use my life experience when writing so it follows that some of my sexy scenes are based on real life. What kind of clothing do you like to wear in order to feel sexy? You mean you're meant to wear clothes? Oh, I've been doing it wrong. What kind of clothing do you think makes men look sexy?I love a man in a suit or out of a suit come to that...miaow. What is the most outrageously naughty thing you've ever done?Oh now, you'll just have to read everything I've written and try and work it out for yourself!

Two guys, a girl and an office sex bet.Caroline hates working at Forbes and Richardson until she walks in on Matt and Connor kissing passionately against the photocopier. They admit they enjoy being watched and invite her to be the voyeur to their exhibitionism.Watching leads to participation as the three of them agree on a bet that makes the working day all the more fun and definitely sexier. How brave is Caroline? What risks is she willing to take to get her ultimate prize - a threesome with the two hottest execs in the company. Read An Excerpt:[Click here to expand/collapse]EXCERPT:The photocopier lives in a small room at the end of a long and little used corridor. I rarely saw anyone else when I am in there since I seemed to be the copier slave of choice. So I was surprised when I heard voices as I walked down the corridor. Some women you can hear coming a mile off because of their high heels but not me. I wear sensible shoes with little to no heel. I'd be crippled if I tried to wear tall footwear all day when I am so often on my feet.So maybe they hadn't heard me approach, which explains why they hadn't stopped. But I should have made my presence known instead of gawking like some inquisitive pup.Two men, hot young men I might add, guys I had never seen before were eagerly making out just in front of the copier. I could hear it whirring so they must have been passing the time until it finished their copying.I expected one of them to look up at any moment and rumble me, and my stomach churned. I stood to one side of the doorjamb and so was not immediately obvious to a casual glance, but I was pretty certain that if I could see them they could see me.I should have walked away or coughed or something but I just watched. I'd never seen two guys kiss before. The one time my mates and I attempted to get into a gay bar we weren't let in because we looked too straight.I guess it is very similar to how straight folks kiss. I don't think there is a gay way to do it. A kiss is a kiss is a kiss. However the angles of two men do make the act look different. You have to make room for two hard-”ons in the middle somewhere. That must be challenging. And stubble. I wondered if there was ever a problem with electric shocks with all that stubble rubbing together. I knew a way to stop that problem: insert me between the one with the chocolate brown spiky hair and the other longer, looser (hair wise I mean) blond. I'd take a bit of stubble burn to feel those two pairs of lips against my skin.Who hasn't fantasised about being the hot and pliable filling between two slices of male deliciousness? If I had to pick two men purely on looks then the two who were snogging up a storm before me would have been at the top of my list. My fantastical musings went no further as my inbuilt and unerring clumsiness chose that moment to show itself.I was so busy dreaming and drooling that I forgot I had the leaning tower of photocopying in my arms. I must have lowered them as I gawked because the next thing I knew, crash, swish, flutter. The pile of papers swirled onto the floor."Oh, I am sorry." Blond disentangled himself from Brunet and walked towards me. "It's terribly rude of us to be hogging the copier.""No, no, I'm sorry I shouldn't have... should have. ..could have really,""Give up now, love, before you do yourself an injury." Brunet came over and joined his partner on his knees before me. I bit my lip whilst erotically naughty ideas fluttered through my mind but I resisted and knelt to help with the scooping up of my papers."So you must be the new temp girl." Dark-”eyed and Gorgeous placed some papers on the pile in my hand. Tasty Italian - Genre: Contemporary

She wanted pizza, she got love.Fiona was bored with her life but she didn't realise that simply deciding to visit the local Italian restaurant for dinner one night would change it forever. When she laid eyes on the fit, young Italian waiter she fell instantly in lust. Carlo returned that ardour but how could their relationship develop when he had to move back to his home in Italy? Read An Excerpt:[Click here to expand/collapse]EXCERPT:At first she thought that the voice calling her name was merely her imagination but on the second call she realised it was real. She stopped just before she reached her car and looked over her shoulder.Carlo was running down the street with a small cardboard box in his hand. "Cara mia, you forgot your cake." He panted slightly as he pushed the box into her hand."Oh, I did, didn't I? I'm sorry. You didn't need to chase after me, though." She turned to unlock her car."No, I had to. Roberto ordered it so, but also I wanted to speak to you.""Oh yes?" She dropped the cake box into her car with her handbag without caring where they landed. What did you want to tell me?""I wanted you to know that the words I spoken earlier were really real, not just Italian hot air. I think you are so very beautiful and I would like to know more of you.""Oh." She was lost for words. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to tell him to kiss her, to ravage her right there but her mouth just wouldn't work."Fiona?" He put his hand on her arm, "Are you all right? I can go if you're not, how do you say? If you do not want me.""No, Carlo, no." She took a shuddering breath. "It's not that, I do want you. I do, I'm surprised to hear you say it.""I must be losing my touch," he said as he stepped closer to her. "I was trying my best to seduce you.""I, well...yes. Mmm." Fiona struggled to think, but he stood so close to her that she swore she could hear his heartbeat. Then she realised it was her own. Before she could formulate a sentence he reached around and rested his hand on her back. She tipped back her head to look up into his face. His lips lowered to hers. The kiss was not as she had imagined, but was twice as hot and a million times more intense. He tasted of strong coffee and mellow sweet cheesecake, a perfect combination. Silver Screen Dream - Genre: Bollywood/ Fantasy

How can Johnny get his master back to Mumbai to marry the woman to whom he is pledged and away from the English hussy who is steadily taking more and more of his attention?Johnny will use revenge and jealousy, but how will he cope when true love is thrown into the mix? Read An Excerpt:[Click here to expand/collapse]EXCERPT:I had to peep again, I just couldn't resist. I reached out to open the door once more without even glancing that way. My hand encountered something hard, but it was also warm and it certainly wasn't wooden like the door would have been."Oh, I'm sorry," I gasped. "I didn't see you there.""It's okay," Rahul replied with a smirk. "I never complain when a pretty lady touches me.""Are you all right? Do you need anything?"I stepped back but didn't take my hand off his chest. Signals from my brain were taking forever to seep through the excited cells of my body to my fingers."I do want something," he said, and stared deep into my eyes as the door swung shut behind him. "I want you."I wasn't sure I had heard him right at first. I decided I must have been fantasising again."Pardon?""I want you," he repeated. "I haven't stopped thinking about you.""Me?" I was stunned. I should have leapt on him. I should have pushed my face to his, but all I did was stand rooted to the spot. Oh, and I gawped. Like a wide-”mouthed clown on a miniature golf course, I let my jaw hang loose."Yes," he affirmed, "you." He stepped forward and pushed a curl of my hair back behind my ear. His warm fingers lingered on my cheek, his soft palm lay gently on my heated flesh.I held my breath. He looked at my lips, and I darted my tongue out instinctively to wet the dried flesh that I had suddenly become intensely aware of.It was just like my favourite moment from any Bollywood film. Time slowed, colours intensified and I noticed the ice shock of his blue corneas against the jet black, widened pools of lust that were his pupils.I could hear the softened, romantic music. It might have been real or imagined, I wasn't sure, but everything in the background faded away, and it became as if Rahul and I were the only people in all the world. The moment his lips touched mine, I felt as if I had been switched on. Turned on, certainly, but I was also fully functioning. Every little brush of his lips on mine registered in every last, little nerve. Every movement excited me. I realised I had been left on standby since I had been dumped by Danny, my body just going through the motions. Rahul's kiss brought me back to life.I had never experienced anything of its like before. I suddenly realised why a kiss could bring Snow White back from the dead. I won't ever be able to explain exactly what happened to me then, but it was magical. I had watched a million movies, each of them hundreds of times over. I'd seen more first kisses than I could remember, and I always knew, deep in my heart, that a Bollywood kiss was a lie. It was acting. It was a show.I got my first Bollywood kiss, and I realised that it was a reality. That love at first kiss could exist.
