Wicked Wastrels The Regency was a time of duels, dandies, vulgarity, excess and salacious scandal. Into this mix came a group of men known as ‘The Fancy’.

A name given to a notorious and powerful group of men of all ages and classes that emerged in the early 1800s to finance, organise and bet on sport.

These men thrived on the thrill of taking risks with their fortunes, their health and on occasion even their lives.

These Wicked Wastrels exuded an aura of excitement and risk which was irresistible to both men and women alike.
