Government contracted mercenary, James 'Priest' Evans, slides back into town after a mission gone very wrong. Haunted by his latest kill, Priest’s job is weighing heavily on his mind for the first time in memory. In Cattle Valley to heal and re-evaluate his life, Priest didn’t expect love but that’s exactly where’s he’s headed.
After a devastating and very public breakup, Luke Hatcher has given up on love. He’s more than happy to enjoy hot and heavy sex, but that’s as far as he’s willing to go. When he runs into Priest, Luke believes their mutual lack of trust is perfect for a short-term holiday affair.
Their steamy affair takes an unexpected turn when Priest makes a bedroom confession that will forever change the way he views life and love. Will the confession bring them closer together, or will it send Luke packing?
The energy between these two characters is HOT! And together they are very HOT! The care that once tapped in the Alpha Priest is funny and frustrating to watch at the same time. I loved the interactions between these two characters and the way each of them grows. It was nice being back in Cattle Valley, WY; I always love visiting there, the same characters reacting in a predicable way and everyone so protective of each other. It will be a good home Priest. I give this book a 5 start rating and encourage anyone that loves m/m, Carol Lynne or that has ever visited Cattle Valley to come back.

Carol did a marvelous job of bringing these two very different men together...It's another example of love's ability to reach inside of us and bring out the best and show us how share it. I recommend this story, not only to Cattle Valley fans, but to readers new to the series as well.Read the full review at

I love the series, This is one of the absolute best in a long time. The description of feelings between the characters are warm and with more tenderness than in the previous books - lovely. A must buy!
