The Fireman and the Cop

The Fireman and the Cop

Book One in the Ellery Mountain series.

Rescuing cop Finn Ryan from a burning precinct was easy; it's keeping him alive after that which fireman Max Harrison finds difficult.

Ellery is a quiet town in the Smoky Mountains, at the base of Ellery Peak, and nothing ever happens. Max is escaping from his firefighting job in the city to take up a role as assistant to the Mayor whilst also holding the position of a volunteer fire fighter.

Finn Ryan is one of only three cops in the small town and it soon seems to Max that someone is out to hurt the sexy cop. Rescuing Finn from a burning precinct was the easy part; it's keeping him alive after that which fireman Max Harrison finds difficult.

This is a short, but action-packed love story which is a good beginning to what promises to be an exciting series. I'm interested to see how some of the other couples fare and how R.J. weaves their individual stories together. I' looking forward to the next sequel. I'd recommend this story to anyone who likes action, intrigue, hot cops, and hot firemen. Thanks, R.J., for bringing Max and Finn into our lives.

a delightful story about two very sensual and hunky men in uniform...I fell in love with Matt and Finn as I read the story. Their personalities meshed so well and the humor and wit written into their characters was frank and thorough. Ms. Scott allowed for each man to personally develop as the story unfolded and their lives became our own. Ms. Scott’s style of writing gave the main characters and the supporting cast a sense of realism that ingratiated them into the readers’ lives allowing for realism and connectivity. Connectivity to each other and to the reader.

I loved both Finn and Max! Who doesn’t love a man in uniform and here we have two! What I’ve liked about Ms. Scott’s stories is her ability to weave mystery and action into a story and that is what makes this story an interesting read...Finn has a great set of friends and I look forward to reading their stories in future books in the series!

Lots of Love and Danger
Reviewed by Karen from FL

Max rescues Finn who makes a pass at the handsome fireman. Max isn't sure what to make of it but it does help to get the ball running when he reminds Finn of the pass. What follows is building love and lots of danger. Another great series that I can't wait to read more of.
