Campus Cravings: Live for Today

Campus Cravings: Live for Today

Book Twelve in the Campus Cravings series.

Life has been good for Justin Nelson. With a big bowl game mere weeks away, the pressure is on. For some men, being stretched in two different directions might become too much, but not for Justin, he thrives on it. Trying to balance life with his long-time partner, Luc, and his duty to the team gives Justin a rush like no other.

Luc Henley hates seeing the love of his life push himself. Every football season it seems to get worse as he watches Justin burn the candle at both ends. When he notices warning signs of a potential health problem, Luc begs Justin to slow down enough to see a doctor.

After he ignores his lover's pleas, Justin is suddenly faced with a life-changing illness, and when he gives up, it's up to Luc, Justin's friends and players to pull him back from the brink of despair.

What I like most about the story is that it shows the imperfections, say, the fertilizer beneath the smell of roses...Great story!

I bought this book as soon as it was out, but for a reason of the other I didn’t read it sooner. So I didn’t know that it was the last in the Campus Cravings series...Live for Today is a very nice wrap up for the story, it’s the right dose of melancholy due to the fact that it’s a farewell, but overall it’s as sweet and romantic as it was the first book in the series.

5 out of 5!

It’s with great sadness that I say goodbye to the wonderful CAMPUS CRAVING SERIES, and it’s with joy to know I have these wonderful stories to turn to, when I am looking for that one really good book to snuggle down with.

From the first book I read of Carol Lynne’s I have been a devoted fan! All though I am sad to see the end of her Campus Cravings series I must say that she took the series out with a bang by coming full circle and ending the series with the couple that began it.

Carol shows us that a gay relationship can be just as long lasting and supportive as any other relationship out there. Carol manages to weave everyday issues into all her stories and we don’t even know we're getting a life lesson until the story is over with and we're left thinking well hey. And Live for Today is no different.

I have to admit that I was worried when I first started to read this story because I knew from hints Carol's given members of her yahoo group, what she was planning to do and it scared me, because I am a very vocal fan of my *Happily Ever Afters* and have been know to stop reading a writer who messes with that fantasy. With that said I can only tell you that I will be reading any and all future books from Carol.

I do recommend you have a box of tissues handy while reading this book, you will need it but I pray you don’t let that dissuade you from reading this book because in my opinion this some of Carol’s best work.

This book will give you the lump in your throat, hair tingling feel that means you're in the presence of an awesome book! I highly recommend you buy and read this book TODAY!
