Rhea leaned her forehead against the inner hatch door after she secured it against the coming MetaWave storm. Twelve years on this damn planet, and she still quailed every time the comm unit sent out an alert. She took several deep breaths to steady herself then activated the buffering shields around her oasis.

The comm unit binged, and she whipped around in panic. An incoming vessel, now? Oh God, she had to warn them. She ran to the unit, and accepted communication, cutting the masculine hail off with a yell. “Are you crazy or just stupid? There’s a ‘Wave coming in, you’re going to get your damn brains scrambled! I’m locked down, now head back up!”

“No can do, sweetheart,” came an ironic male voice. “We need repairs, and if we don’t touch down now, it’ll be more than our shell that gets broken. Now open up like a good girl.”

Rhea gritted her teeth and bit off several choice expletives without bothering to mute their link. “Fine, but if you’re not inside in,” she glanced desperately at the weather display, “three minutes flat, I’m closing down. Centre bay. Move your asses.” There was no reply. Likely they were too busy rushing the landing sequence to bother. She keyed in the code to open the hangar roof and lower the living quarter buffering.

She watched the display tensely as the hologram identified the ship as the Saban Hawk, Earth registry. No surprise, between the pilot’s accent and the fact her oasis was off the map for most other species. The registry showed four crew members, and their credit balance made her eyebrows lift. It was the highest she’d ever seen, other than Grandpa Ray’s.

Rhea changed from the hologram view to a live vid feed from the hangar. She had her shaking hand poised above the controls as she watched them finally clear the roof, and had the big bay door closing even before she received the all-clear ping from the control panel.

“C’mon, c’mon, let’s go!” she urged over the comm, watching as the Saban Hawk’s hatch began to slowly open. Her eyes flicked back and forth between the hangar view and the sonar display showing the ‘Wave rushing inexorably towards the oasis. She thumbed the hangar loudspeaker. “Please hurry!”

Three large men appeared in the opening entrance and, not waiting for the hatch to open completely, jumped to the hanger floor, running full tilt for the entrance to the living quarters. Rhea breathed a sigh of relief.

“Is that everyone?” she called as they hit the door.

“All that’s coming,” came the cryptic reply from the dark-haired man, whose voice she recognised as the pilot she had cussed out. “Seal ‘er up.”

She once again gratefully raised the buffering shields and quickly activated the ‘do not approach’ beacon to warn any other ships that she would not be open for business until the MetaWave sequence passed. With the potential crisis averted, she turned her attention to the men on her display, zooming in slightly to study them closely while they recovered from their sprint, her body reacting to the outstanding potential for sex displayed so nicely on her screen.

Rhea focused first on the tall, dark-haired man who she had been communicating with. The memory of his low, resonant voice was like a tease to her need. It had been almost a quarter since she had been fucked, and her high libido was driving her insane. She let her eyes flutter closed as she imagined that long, leanly muscled body, so nicely displayed in the flight suit, pressing into her, holding her down. Her body gave a pleased little shiver of delight, and a smile teased her lips. Yes, he had all kinds of potential, and that voice. Mmm…

She opened her increasingly heavy-lidded eyes and turned her attention to the largest man of the three. He was breathtaking, extremely tall and broad, almost bulky with muscles. Rhea’s eyes narrowed, possibly a cyborg, which was fine with her. Their internal programming made them extremely satisfying lovers. She snorted lightly. I would know. So, probably not a candidate for her grand plan, but he would be good to have a little fun with while the storm ran its course. The best part about sex with ‘borgs was the almost nonexistent recovery time, which was an improvement on what she had heard about human males.
